Mayoral Silver Basket – Presented by Lancaster City Council who found an old trophy at the Town Hall, with no details of its history. It was presented for a mixed competition between the local clubs within the Lancaster City Council. Mixed greensome stableford competition open to Gents over 60 and Ladies over 50. Played between Heysham, Lancaster, Lansil, Morecambe and Silverdale. 2 pairs represent each club and Heysham’s representatives are selected at a qualifying competition. Gents play off White Tees and Ladies off Red Tees. Maximum Course Handicap 28 for Gents and 36 for Ladies. Handicap Allowance 60% of low handicap and 40% of high handicap.
